Ryde-based go-karting track, WightKarting, has today (Monday) announced a shake-up of the track that has been in place for 3 years.

After significant work and investment, Wightkarting are now able to offer drivers the chance to drive the track in the 45mph karts in complete reverse, changing their racing experience for exclusive groups starting this January.

Groups of 10 drivers or more can now enjoy the racing in reverse every Friday evening, and the reverse layout is also now available for corporate bookings, birthdays, stag parties and more on request.

Each year since WightKarting opened, they’ve offered customers the chance to compete in timed racing laps, designed to test all elements of competitive karting: endurance, team work, driving skill and agility. This is all bound to be tested even more on the more complex, reverse track.

Cathy Foulkes, Owner of WightKarting, said:

“The new track layout has been a considerable investment, and is part of our real commitment to keeping our karting as fresh and new as we can. We hope that the new challenging turns and direction give drivers an exciting experience during 2017, and hope that many enjoy the chance to get the best lap times on the new track. It’s certainly a more challenging track, and will bring the best out of many drivers.”
