WightFibre have announced that Zoe Stroud has joined the company as Director of Marketing, adding further to the key appointments and senior management team announced in March, as its’ Gigabit Island project moves forward.
Zoe brings over 15 years’ experience in marketing to the company, having spent the past 3 years at Visit Isle of Wight; promoting the Island and working closely with the Islands broad base of businesses, not simply those within the tourist sector. This included managing a key Department of Transport Contract that focused on encouraging visitors to the Island not to use their cars.
WightFibre’s chief executive officer, John Irvine, comments:

Zoe is a great addition to our team with her extensive marketing experience, knowledge of the island and our community. Zoe will also be well known to many businesses on the Island as former Group Marketing Manager at The Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce. A role she held for over 7 years before joining Visit Isle of Wight. In this role Zoe managed the chambers various brands including Isle of Wight Lottery, Chamber Health, and Island Business Magazine, she also developed the annual Business EXPO as a key event in the Islands business calendar.
