Cowes Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society (CAODS) has announced the staging of Wife After Death, the hilarious black comedy, by Eric Chappell that is to be held at Trinity Theatre in Cowes later this month.
According to the British Theatre Guide this play, directed by award-winning Director Dinah Bowman, offers ‘a terrific evening of love and laughter’.
Love and laughter are the themes of the show, but love takes some strange turns as friends gather at the funeral of Dave Thursby, comedian and national treasure. There’s Harvey, his writer, and Vi, Harvey’s wife. Kevin, his agent and Jane, Kevin’s wife. The event has been organised by Dave’s glamorous widow who meets an unexpected guest.
