However, previous leaders Whitecroft & Barton Sports – who were playing Ventnor in the Gold Cup – have 2 games in hand on the top-of-the table side. West Wight led at the half time break through a diving header from from Josh Daley, who converted a cross from Robbie Shepherd in the 33rd minute (0-1). However, it took a spectacular save from Isle of Wight manager and Binstead keeper Tom McInnes to prevent West Wight from extending their lead before the half time break.
