Ventnor Cricket Club welcomes all members and the local community to Steephill this Sunday for it’s annual Open Day from 10:00.
Open Days, an England and Wales Cricket Board initiative sponsored by Waitrose, encourage cricket clubs to open their doors for a day of cricket, refreshments and family fun.
Ventnor are one of 1,280 taking part this year and the day will start with softball cricket for under 9, 11 and 13 players. The club will be delighted to welcome all youngsters in addition to those who are already members of the club.
The morning will continue with a speed gun cage, run by senior players, followed by an opportunity for parents to test their cricketing skills.
A BBQ at around 12:30 will precede the afternoon senior fixture with tourists Chorleywood from Hertfordshire.
The Club will also have tickets on sale for the much anticipated T20 encounter with Lashings All Stars on Sunday 14th August at 15:30.
