VOLUNTEERS SOUGHT FOR BINNEL BAY BEACH CLEAN UP

‘Capturing our Coast’, a marine citizen science programme based out of Portsmouth University, have organised a much-needed beach clean of Binnel Bay near Niton in conjunction with Plastic Aware, a local plastic pollution group on the Isle of Wight.

Volunteers are being called upon to join the team in cleaning up the beach, which is currently littered with plastic and other rubbish.

The clean will be followed by a bioblitz event documenting as many species on the shore as possible. This will follow the Marine Conservation Society survey method and completing the beach clean in conjunction with Plastic Aware, a local plastic pollution group on the Isle of Wight.
