Popular Isle of Wight event, Festival of Heroes, is to be held at The County Showground in Cowes after organisers were forced to change the event venue due to Brading Roman Villa becoming ‘unexpectedly unusable’.
Local charity Daisy Chains IW last year announced that their Festival of Heroes would not be able to continue due to a number of factors but since then Red Funnel and Milford Del have lent their support so that the show can go on.
It was originally due to be held once more at Brading Roman Villa, however, due to the ground being ‘unexpectedly unusable’ organisers have had to find a new venue, which in this case is The County Showground this weekend (22nd – 23rd July).
This event will be full of fun for all the family with lots of Arena acts including the MBE team with their Defying Gravity show BMX V Mountainboard, Dinosaur Invasion, Horse Box Theatre Company, Miss Bubblina, and of course over 40 characters to meet and greet with everything from Heroes, Dinosaurs, Princesses, Storybook Characters, Transformers and more. Alongside this there will be Inflatables, vintage amusements, pony rides, a gaming bus and a whole host of stalls and other things to do.
Hopefully, the event will raise lots of funds for Daisy Chains IW and the Island families it helps.
