Ventnor’s town and community spirit will be celebrated at an event in the town in August this year – taking the place of the cancelled illuminated carnival.
The carnival committee is working with the town council to organise the event, which is set to be held in Ventnor Park on Saturday 14th August between 12:00 and 17:00.
Stewart Blackmore, current Ventnor Mayor, said:
“I’m immensely proud of our town and its sense of community and pleased the town council is supporting Ventnor Day.
“This has been a difficult year for so many of our residents and this is an opportunity to celebrate the contribution of our voluntary and community groups.”
