Ventnor Bandstand has been closed as a result of a recent structural survey which has highlighted several areas of concern.
Southern Water has taken the decision to close off the area to members of the public as a safety precaution.
The water company, who own the seafront structure, will be carrying out essential works including repairing and replacing the handrails and the lights on the steps. It is unknown at this time how long the bandstand will remain closed for.
After the repairs have been completed Southern Water will be looking for new tenants to operate businesses from the bandstand. Anyone interested in this commercial opportunity is invited to email [email protected].
