3 minutes later, Vectis came close to equalising when Josh Denness struck the crossbar from range.
The home side went down to 10 men when Sam Kirby was booked by referee Andy Jones for dissent, but Binstead were unable to take advantage of their extra man.
Vectis captain Chris Turner then sent a shot whistling past the left post. In the 23rd minute, Turner directed a free kick from the edge of the penalty area through the wall and into the left corner to score the equalising goal (1-1).
Vectis came close to taking the lead with Denness having a strong shot parried for a corner and Kirby shooting over the crossbar, but the half ended honours even.
