Vectis Youth Football Club have picked up an incredible treble of trophies in mainland football competitions.
Vectis Youth under-11s won the Fleetlands Youth Cup in Gosport with a 2-1 victory over Baffins Milton Rovers in the final.
Vectis Youth have said:
“Well done to our u11s, who today won the Fleetlands Youth Cup in Gosport with the team going undefeated and only conceding 1 goal through the whole tournament.
“Vectis were crowned champions with a 2-1 win over Baffins Milton Rovers, who have been unbeaten all season, making the cup win even more impressive. The team also picked up some very impressive wins during the day, beating Gosport Borough 4-0, Stubbington 1-0, and Winkleybury 1-0.
“The team divided into 2 sides. Both qualified for the quarter-finals, where they meet each other, with Vectis B winning 2-0 and progressing to the semifinals. In true Vectis spirit, the A side made sure they cheered their fellow teammates to victory in the semi-finals and eventually the final, where they were crowned champions, winning the team’s 2nd trophy of 2023.”
Vectis under-13s travelled to Hythe, where they won both the Gold Cup and Plate finals.

“Well done to our u13s, who travelled to Hythe today where the team came away winners in both Gold Cup Final and the Plate Final, making it a treble of trophies for the club today at mainland events .
“Vectis Blues were undefeated all day, only conceding 2 goals and winning the trophy, with Vectis Reds only conceding 2 goals all day and winning the plate final.
“Well done to all players and coaches today, taking teams safely to the mainland and winning medals and trophies, showing the strength and resilience of the club when competing outside of the Island league.”
