Organisers of Sandown Airport’s Fairweather Festival have released the timings for the family-friendly event, taking place on Friday 31st August and Saturday 1st September.

Heading up the line-up on the newly named ‘Mary Ellis Stage’ is Example and DJ Wire and Razorlight. The festival’s main stage is named in honour of the late Mary Ellis, a respected local aviator, who sadly recently passed away at the age of 101. She flew 76 types of aircraft during her career, including Spitfires and Lancaster Bombers. She was a familiar face at the festival’s home at Sandown Airport.

The festival’s full timings can be seen on the graphics below:

Founder and promoter Callum Fairweather said:

“Mary Ellis was fondly remembered by many at Sandown Airport and those associated with the aviation community, so it gives us huge honour to name our main stage in her memory. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone at the Airport for what is set to be an incredible two days of live music and fun”.

Fairweather Festival is heading for yet another sell out year, so buying tickets sooner rather than later is advised. Adult weekend tickets are priced at just £40 with a line-up featuring Example and DJ Wire, Razorlight, Professor Green, FooR, Dappy, Matt Terry, Fatman Scoop, Rhythm of the 90’s, The South and many more.
