Ryde Esplanade will once again play host to what has this year become a Bank Holiday highlight, as Ticket to Ryde makes a welcome return to Eastern Gardens.
Organised by Jack Up Events for the whole Island community to enjoy, this will be the 8th year the event has been held during the annual International Scooter Rally and provides the ideal opportunity to be entertained by the very best Island bands as well as featuring a massive 60’s playlist for scooter fans.
Taking place between Saturday 27th and Monday 29th August, the event will feature music from the likes of Scooted & Booted Sound System – Reggae, Ska and Two-Tone Specialist, Real Dead Ringer – The Meat Loaf Show, The Baggy Winkles Blues Band, Soul Queen, The Resisters, Emellia, Hot Pocket, Bethan John, The Mix plus an opportunity for upcoming local talent to take to the stage.
The live music proceedings are kick-off at 11:00 each morning through until 20:00, with trade stalls opening from 10:00.
No advance tickets are required for this hugely popular event which features a real ale bar courtesy of Island Ales, hot food freshly cooked by Island caterers including mouth-watering burgers and breakfast baps from Route4Food (a kitchen carefully crafted inside an old Southern Vectis bus), and Mexican chilli nachos, all made using locally sourced ingredients. Teas, Island Roasted coffees, homemade cakes and bakes, delicious bubble waffles, candy floss and popcorn all prepared by Island traders.
Staged with the support of Ryde Town Council to enable residents to engage with culture at no cost on their doorstep, Ticket to Ryde features a stunning ‘silver bullet’ American Airstream stage courtesy of Jack Up’s new glamping venture Retro Staycations and is the perfect way to celebrate the last big Bank Holiday weekend of the year.

Going to rain all weekend. Another wash out
No it is not !
Should be a fun event, just a shame that they have dug up half of Ryde.
