A large thunderstorm brought flashes of lightning to the skies above the Isle of Wight overnight, with rain lashing down and winds of up to 60mph.
The storm moved up from Norhern France to surround the Isle of Wight shortly after 23:00 following what was an incredibly hot day – just 1 of many this week.
By 01:30 the weather had moved to the north and things had settled down. The action was caught on camera by Isle of Wight Webcams.
