BCM, the Island’s rural property specialist, has announced that Thomas Dawson has joined the firm as a Rural Property Consultant at their Newport offices.
An important appointment and valuable role in which he will assist partners James Attrill and David Long in the management of BCM’s extensive client property and land portfolio.
In addition, Thomas will use his knowledge and experience to assist with, property sales and letting as well as supporting the BCM team and their clients with planning applications from concept to completion. This is something that Thomas has first-hand practical experience of, as at the age of 22 he purchased a small plot of land in the West Wight with his partner to fully project managed the build their own home, which they recently moved into.
Thomas attended Sandown Bay Academy from which he gained a place at the University of Derby to study Architecture and Planning, a university recognised as a Centre of Excellence by the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists. He returned to the island, initially working within an estate agents as a Valuer and then for a well-known island based innovative and creative architect firm. He also took time to study for his AAT L2 Certificate in Accounting and Finance, skills and knowledge he will now use to great effect as part of the BCM team.

Thomas has a genuine love and appreciation for the Island and the subject of land and property. This, when combined with his experience in building his own home makes him an asset within his new role and for the clients that he will now work closely with at BCM as rural property specialists.
