With a cast of colourful characters, stunning costumes and set all designed and made in-house, a host of toe-tapping musical numbers and plenty of laughs to be had, Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood is a production that all ages will enjoy.
The show has been written by Emily and Sarah Scotcher, with Sarah also directing the show. Kim Ball takes on the role of Musical Director and Cheryl and Izzi Rudd as Choreographers.
As always, the show’s proceeds will be donated to local charities and good causes, with every penny staying on the Island. This year The Wight Strollers’ chosen beneficiaries are the Isle of Wight Food Bank, the IW Alzheimer’s Café, WightSAR, The COOK Project, the World Scout Jamboree (IOW Team) 2019 and 1st Ryde Brownies.
The Wight Strollers have raised over £245,000 for Island charities and good causes since 1981 and the total keeps rising. Their production of Robin Hood follows a bumper 2018, in which they performed Cinderella and Priscilla: Queen of the Desert – The Musical, donated over £20,000 to Island charities, appeared at the Isle of Wight Festival and danced the Island’s streets as ‘Alive and Kicking’ for carnival season.
Tickets are £10 for adults, £8 for under 14s and are available from Medina Theatre either by phone on 01983 823884, by visiting www.medinatheatre.co.uk or in person from the Box Office or 1Leisure Reception.
