Terry Hall, the lead singer of the legendary ska band the Specials, is set to perform a DJ set at Newport venue Strings in December.
Hall shot to stardom in Britain in the late 70s and early 80s, singing classic ska revival singles such as Gangsters, Nite Klub and Ghost Town before leaving to form new wave pop group Fun Boy Three.
Terry has eclectic musical tastes and his set is expected to include everything from early reggae and ska to pop, funk, soul, and disco. His musical influences include David Bowie, Toots & The Maytals, The Las, The Jackson 5, Max Romeo, Althea & Donna, and Talking Heads.
Terry will be spinning the decks at Strings Bar & Venue on Friday 10th December 2021.
Advance tickets cost £16 and can be bought at the Price is Wight.
