Her Royal Highness, The Duchess of Cornwall, will be visiting Osborne House next week where she will be joined by Dame Judi Dench.
As previously reported by Island Echo, The Duchess of Cornwall will be officially naming Red Funnel’s brand new Red Jet 7 at a ceremony in Cowes on Tuesday (24th July).
The Isle of Wight Council have revealed today (Friday) that she will also be paying a visit to Osborne House on the other side of the River Medina, where she will be joined by Dame Judi Dench and have the opportunity to see how the House has changed since her last visit in 2009.
There will also be an opportunity for her to find out more about the preparations for the London Capital and Finance Osborne Horse Trials. The event will take place over 2 days from 25th to 26th July at Osborne House and will host a number of action-packed activities each afternoon, including dressage and show jumping.
A short walkabout in Cowes will take place before the naming of the new Red Funnel ferry Red Jet 7.
Lord-Lieutenant of the Isle of Wight, Major General Sir Martin White, said:
“It will be a pleasure to welcome Her Royal Highness back to the Island where she will not only be able to meet Islanders and visitors but also see some of the changes that have been made in the intervening years.”
