TEEN ARRESTED OVER ALLEGED BESTIVAL TICKET SCAM

An 18-year-old teenager from Brighton in Sussex has has been arrested by Police on suspicion of fraud by false representation as they investigate over 60 complaints of people not receiving Bestival tickets purchased from a third party.

Earlier this week Sussex Police confirmed they were looking into reports that Bestival fans had purchased tickets from a non-official supplier but had not received the tickets, leading to death threats being made against the individual advertising to be selling the weekend access passes.

It is understood the alleged scam came to light when the accused called Police when buyers turned up at his property.
