Both swimming pools at 1Leisure Medina are to close for almost a month to allow essential work to be undertaken.
The Isle of Wight Council have confirmed that Medina’s pools will close on Monday 10th September and won’t reopen until Friday 5th October.
Refurbishment works need to be carried out to ensure the future operation of the popular leisure centre.
Works will include the upgrading of 35-year-old sand filters. New pipes will also be installed in the on-site plant room alongside improved heating systems and disinfection systems.
