Ventnor Arts Club say they are delighted that Boo Hewerdine will be stopping off on the Island to perform in it’s intimate venue on Saturday 22nd October.
Boo Hewerdine is well known as one of the best (and busiest) songwriter performers in the business. Incredibly, it’s been 7 years since Boo released his last studio album of original material God Bless The Pretty Things (Reveal Records 2009). Not that he has been inactive, far from it. The period has been the most productive of his career and he is currently engaged in a massive tour..
Stephen Izatt, owner of Ventnor Arts Club said:
“Boo visited the club over a year ago to watch Southampton band Diamond Age. He liked the warmth of the sound and the atmosphere so much he asked if he could make it a tour stop in 2016”.
Hewerdine has written lyrics and played on over 30 new recordings by and with other artists including the acclaimed 2014 album (Vagabond) and 2015 EP (Back The Dogs) with Scottish singer Eddi Reader, Last Man Standing EP (2015) with Kris Drever of Lau and Duke Special.
Tickets are available online at www.ventnorartsclub.com or by phone on 01983 857050. No club membership is required for this and other ticketed events.
