Jollyes’ store in Newport celebrates its 25th anniversary this weekend with events ranging from a visit by the Island’s donkey sanctuary to a kids’ treasure hunt.
The store, on the River Way Industrial Estate, notched up its quarter-century landmark in March, but put the celebrations on ice because of the pandemic.
To make up for lost time, a busy schedule of events has been lined up for this weekend – Saturday 2nd October and Sunday 3rd October – as a thank-you to Jollyes’ loyal customers.
They include visits from Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary and Isle of Wight Parrot Rescue and a chance to meet some of the animals helped by the charities.
There will be a kids’ treasure hunt, a tombola for all customers, and treats for furry friends who are brought along to join in the celebrations.
Store manager Mark White said:
“We’ve been celebrating quietly all year and we can’t wait to do things in style and welcome visitors to our official anniversary weekend – whether they’ve been customers since 1996 or have just discovered us.”
