Creepy crawlies don’t usually get a good press, but a band called Slugs & Bugs from Nashville is holding an interactive Family Concert followed by a hot dog supper in Ryde this Sunday.
St James’ in Ryde invited them to the Island and originally booked Grace Church as the venue, but the demand for tickets has been so strong that the event has been moved to the George Street Centre, home of Ryde Baptist Church.
Randall Goodgame, founder of Slugs & Bugs says they ‘make music that the whole family will love – because silliness is next to godliness’. The event is to be held at 15:30 on Sunday 17th May.
Ryde Baptist Church is so delighted to host them that a member has underwritten the hire cost.
In the theme of all things creepy crawly, these knitted creatures have been made and are on display in Chatters Café at the George Street Centre.
The church in Ryde is passionate about providing fun ways for children to enjoy learning about Jesus. This year’s Holiday Club will be held during the last week of July at Ryde Baptist, free for 5 – 12 year olds.
