Fans of the eatery need not worry as carvery will still be served throughout the week, alongside pizza, burgers and all the expected sides and desserts.
The re-brand is set to take place next year.
A spokesperson for Mitchells and Butlers has told Island Echo:
“Set to open in Spring 2017, Stonehouse are planning a significant investment at the Sloop Inn by converting it into a Stonehouse Pizza & Carvery. This will give the restaurant a fresh new look and dining experience, whilst also looking to provide new jobs in the local community.
“Upon completion the Sloop Inn will offer guests something for everyone, giving them the option to put on the plate exactly what they want, their way.
“Guests will have the choice of 100% fresh dough pizzas, juicy burgers and comforting slow roasted carvery meats with all the trimmings. The new restaurant will also serve pub classics, such as hand battered fish and steak and ale pie.”
