Six ‘bundles of joy’ were born at St Mary’s Hospital in Newport on Christmas Day, the heaviest weighing in at 9lb 7oz.
First to arrive at 02:50 in the morning of 25th December was a son for Rachel and Ben Donald of Bembridge. The baby weighed in at 7lb 6ozs.
Second to arrive at 10:01 was a baby boy delivered to Charlotte Pitcher of Cowes and Richard Sams. Their son, named Sonny, weighed in at 7lb 8oz.
Third to arrive at 11:09 was a baby girl delivered to Blue Bailey-Hunt of Carisbrooke and Dean Pike. Their daughter, named Zoli, weighed in at 7lb 5oz.
Fourth to arrive at 14:35 was a baby boy delivered to Kym and Dean Thistlewood of Northwood. Their son, named Freddie Brian, weighed in at just 4lb 5oz.
Fifth to arrive at 16:55 was a baby boy delivered to Chloe Smith. Her son, named Clark, weighed in at 7lb 2oz.
Sixth and last to arrive at 23:22 was a baby boy delivered to Donna Hetherington of Sandown and Emmanouil Dimitriou. Their son, named Dimitris, weighed in at 9lb 7oz.
