Hampshire Constabulary has charged a male with sexual assault today (Monday) following an incident that took place over the weekend.
Costel-Georgica Murgulet, aged 31, of Doctors Lane, Shorwell has today been charged with sexual assault on a female, common assault and indecent exposure.
It’s reported the male exposed himself outside the Fever & Boutique Nightclub on Coppins Bridge at 22:50 on Friday.
Later on in the night, 2 16-year-old girls reported they had been approached and attacked by a man on Godric Road, Pan at 00:50 on Saturday morning.
Murgulet appeared before Newport Magistrates court today.
APPEAL: Police Officers investigating the incident would urge anyone who was in the area of Godric Road on late Friday night or early Saturday morning to get in contact.
