A 33-year-old woman from Shanklin has been arrested and questioned on suspicion of assault and assaulting a Police constable following an incident at the Hideaway Café last night (Sunday).
Police were called to a disturbance on the cliff path at St Boniface Road in Shanklin at around 21:40. It is there that a woman was found to be acting aggressively towards customers and members of staff.
As of this morning a 33-year-old unnamed woman remained in custody at Newport Police Station.
