Unbeaten Shanklin kept up the pressure on Ventnor and W&B at the top of Harwoods Division 1 with an entertaining 2-4 victory over Bembridge at Steyne Park on Saturday.
Shanklin came out on top courtesy of a a brace from Josh Field and further goals from Hayden Little and Fin Lloyd. Michael Brown was on target twice for Bembridge.
The Seasiders’ victory leaves them 3rd in the table, with 3 wins from 3 games. The Blues are level on 9 points with Ventnor and 3 points behind leaders Whitecroft & Barton Sports. Shanklin have a game in hand over the 2 sides above them in the table.
Shanklin next travel to Watcombe Bottom on Saturday for the battle between 2nd and 3rd.

Osborne Coburg 5-1 Vectis
Osborne Coburg emphatically overcame Vectis at Victoria Park thanks to a brace from Harry Green and further strikes from Carl Phillipson, Mark Taylor and Ad Cantelo. Mark Goodwin was the Vectis scorer. The Burg now lie 5th in Division 1 with 6 points from 3 games, with Vectis still seeking their first win
West Wight 2-0 Northwood St Johns
West Wight beat Northwood SJ at Camp Road courtesy of a 1st half goal from Charlie McFarlane and a 2nd half strike from George Saunders. West Wight’s win leaves them 6th in the table with 6 points from 4 games. Northwood are 10th and yet to record their first victory.

Emerson Tattersall netted 4 times, Liam Harper and Freddie Knowles bagged braces, with Neo Lamb and Charlie Urry also on the scoresheet, as Ventnor put 10 past Cowes Sports Reserves at Watcombe Bottom. After the match, Ventnor manager Gary Gee claimed the addition of Steve Brougham and Andy North to his management team had already made a big difference.

Oakfield have won their 1st league game since reforming by beating local rivals Ryde Saints at Slade Road. Sid Roberts netted a 1st half brace of goals for the Oakers, with the remaining goal coming courtesy of Jos Townsend.

A Josh Edgerton hat trick, a brace from Liam Blythe and further strikes from Jared Cousins, Cruz Wragg, and Dan Keefe saw Niton trounce Seaview.
