Shanklin Sandown Rowing Club rowers Emily Faithfull and Riley Horrix recently competed for their country in 2 events at the beginning of the month.
Emily was part of the England team at the Home International beach sprint held in Wales, with sister Daisy also selected as a boat handler for the event.
The format, which could be part of the 2028 Olympics, consists of a 50m sprint, a 500m row including a buoy turn and finishing with a sprint back up the beach.
Emily was in the mixed doubles event and finished 3rd in the time trial, but just missed out on a medal by finishing 4th in the final.
Riley, who has recently returned to the sport whilst studying at Imperial College, travelled to Poland for the European Universities rowing championships after being selected to race in the coxless pair.
The crew achieved a creditable 4th spot in the B final, racing against a quality field from all around Europe.

Well rowed Horrix and Faithfull.
