Isle of Wight champions Shanklin have extended their lead at the top of Division 1 with a comprehensive victory against Binstead & COB at the Molehill on Saturday (4th February).

Unbeaten Shanklin have gone 6 points clear of W&B at the top of Division 1. The scorers for Shanklin were: George Carter-Knight, Kyle Drew, Aaron Burford, Nicky Vyse, Jason Smythers and Jordan Cook.

ECS came out on top of the ‘El Classicowes’ derby at the GKN Sports Ground. They are now on an impressive run of form having chalked up 4 successive victories and are unbeaten in the league since the end of October.

In the Hampshire Cups …
It was an unlucky day for Isle of Wight sides in the quarter finals of the Hampshire Cups with none of our 3 representatives making their way through to the semi-finals.
In the Hampshire Trophy, W&B went down 1-2 to Yateley United at Sandy Lane, with Josh Appell on target for the Island side. Northwood St Johns lost 1-4 to Hartley Wintney u23s at the Isle of Wight Community Community Club with Ollie Cousins scoring the home side’s consolation goal.
In the Hampshire Vase, Ventnor were defeated 0-2 by Bisterne United Reserves at Watcombe Bottom.
Northwood St Johns reserves – who play in the Vase next week – are the only Isle of Wight representatives remaining in the cup.
