Due to Sandi testing positive for COVID, the gig has been cancelled
Scottish singer-songwriter Sandi Thom is set to play at Strings in Newport on Saturday (11th March).
The multi-instrumentalist from Banff, Scotland became widely known in 2006 after her debut single, “I Wish I Was a Punk Rocker (With Flowers in My Hair)”, which topped the UK Singles Chart in June of that year, as well as in Australia, Ireland, and her native Scotland.
Her single became the biggest-selling single of 2006 in Australia, where it spent 10 weeks at the top of the ARIA Singles Chart.
It’s now been 16 years since her single shot to Number 1. Since then, Thom has continued to make albums that are eclectic, different and timeless.
With over 50million Spotify streams the Scottish singer’s popularity continues to grow organically.
