A traditional Christmas awaits you as the real Santa Claus returns to Havenstreet this festive season for the extremely popular Santa Specials.
Visit the Isle of Wight Steam Railway on any weekend in December, as well as between 21st December and Christmas Eve, for a magical family day out.
Santa’s helpers will be waiting to take you to the most magical and enchanting Christmas experience. Follow the winter walkway to Santa’s North Pole Station, where the seasonal Station Master and his helpers are waiting to greet you. As you make your way through a festive Train Story, to see the man himself, there will be amazing entertainment to keep you in the festive spirit while you wait.
Santa’s helpers will then be on-hand to lead you to his cosy carriage where every child visiting Santa can share their Christmas wishes and also receive a beautifully wrapped, wonderful high-quality gift.
The Railway’s General Manager, Steve Backhouse, says:
“Visiting Santa in the run-up to Christmas is as traditional as the Steam Railway itself. There are many Santa experiences to choose from across the Island, but the Isle of Wight Steam Railway brings something a little more traditional to the festivities”
“We want to keep the whole family entertained for a few hours and leave everyone with memories to last a lifetime.”
The day is topped off with a complimentary glass of mulled wine and a mince pie for adults as well as a chocolate bar and juice for the little ones alongside further entertainment and a Christmas market in the events barn.
This year’s Santa Specials event will commence on 3rd December and booking is absolutely essential.
Tickets are on sale now via www.iwsteamrailway.co.uk/events/santa-specials – reservations cannot be made by phone. There is limited availability and they are expected to sell out, especially on key dates such as Christmas Eve.
