The newly formed Sandown Community Association (SCA) is holding its first annual general meeting, followed by an open discussion and the launch of the ‘We’re Backing Sandown’ campaign, on Friday (2nd November).
The SCA’s meeting will be held in the Methodist Church Hall, York Road from 19:00.
One of the first events to be organised by the association is a late night Christmas shopping event and busking competition, which will take place on Thursday 6th December from 18:00-21:00. Many of the town’s shops will be open until 21:00 with many special offers. Free parking is available from 18:00.
Membership to SCA is open to all Sandown residents (over 16) and business owners. Membership application forms are now available at Colenutts Gifts, PJ News, Gaslight Cafe and The Tap, as well as at the meeting.
