Sainsbury’s in Newport will be filled with carol singing and Christmas activities in the upcoming weeks, to help get customers excited for the holiday season, whilst raising vital funds for charity.
The store’s Local Charity of the Year, Ability Dogs 4 Young People, has been invited to entertain customers and spread festive cheer. The group of singers will be in store on 11th-13th December performing popular Christmas favourites to raise money which will help towards the funding for the charity.
Customers will also be able to meet Santa and share their Christmas wishes with him at his grotto on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th December. He’ll be joined by Breath Easy, a charity who provide support and information for people living with a lung condition, and for those who look after them, to help to bring an extra special and magical experience to the store.
Paul Dyer, Store Manager at Sainsbury’s Isle of Wight, said:
“We’ve got a wonderful selection of festive activities going on during the lead up to Christmas – all helping to raise vital funds for charity. We’re looking forward to all of our carols singers making the store feel really festive. Christmas is for sharing and we’re looking forward to helping our local community during this time.”
Carol Court Founder and CEO from Ability Dogs 4 Young People, added:
“We’re really looking forward to being the first charity to sing at Sainsbury’s Isle of Wight. We’re hoping to get everyone in the mood for Christmas. We’d like to thank the store and their customers for the continued support.”
