A safe that was stolen from a church in Brook earlier this month has been found in a field in Shorwell.
Police are investigating the incident in which a safe and its contents were taken from St Mary’s Church in the rural village of Brook at the beginning of February.
A silver Jeep Cherokee and a Blue Line trailer, which are thought to be involved in the burglary, were found abandoned by the roadside in Calbourne.
