RYDE TOWN COUNCIL ELECT NEW MAYOR

Councillor Michael Lilley has been elected as the new Mayor of Ryde.

An annual general meeting of Ryde Town Council was held on Monday evening during which the Mayor and Deputy Mayor were elected by Full Council.

It was decided that Cllr Lilley would take up the role as Mayor for the next 12 months, with Councillor Adrian Axford as Deputy Mayor.

Michael takes over from Malcolm Ross.
