The carnival season was brought to a traditional close on Saturday night with the hosting of Ryde Illuminated Carnival.
Thousands of spectators lined the streets for one of the busiest carnivals in recent years – no doubt aided by the gorgeous weather that blessed the possession of lights and colour.
Ryde Carnival has been voted the most popular in the country in an online poll – it’s not hard to see why!
Well done to all that took part, helped organise or simply supported the event by watching.
