The team will be staging a Gatsby themed summer ball, with cocktails, a three course dinner and entertainment from jazz and ‘rat pack’ entertainers. Attendees at the event, in aid of Macmillan, will also be invited to participate in light-hearted games and activities.
Christopher Francis, manager of Ryde Castle, part of Old English Inns, said:
“This summer ball will be the first major event we have hosted since re-opening last October and it promises to be a very special occasion.”
The event is part of a three-year partnership between Macmillan Cancer Support and Greene King, owners of Old English Inns, that will see teams from the pub retailer fundraising throughout the UK for the charity.
Rachel Gascoigne, Partnership Manager at Macmillan Cancer Support said:
“It is great to see staff at Ryde Castle throwing themselves into their fundraising for Macmillan. It is events like this that really add up and have helped our partnership with Greene King to raise hundreds of thousands of pounds for people affected by cancer. Macmillan aims to ensure no one faces cancer alone, and with your support, we will be able to fund more vital services to ensure that no one has too.”
“The team at the hotel are right behind our partnership with Macmillan. Everyone knows somebody who has been affected by cancer, whether it is a friend, somebody in their family or a colleague – it is a great cause.”
Tickets to the event cost £39.95 and are available from the hotel. Contact Ryde Castle on 01983 563755.
