RENEWED APPEAL FOLLOWING MUGGING IN RYDE

Police are renewing their appeal for witnesses to a mugging which took place on Nelson Street in Ryde on Saturday 24th September.

As previously reported by Island Echo, a 53-year-old woman had her handbag stolen by a man described as wearing dark clothing, a baseball cap and a red bandana at shortly before 20:00 on the 24th September.

Officers are particularly keen to speak to a group of young men who spoke to the victim immediately after the incident as they may have information to assist the investigation.
