is this a hobby line? Surely we have not got to the stage where one person becomes ill and the whole line closes?
Does it say the whole line is closed? No, it clearly states that it’s running a reduced service
This line has been understaffed since privatisation (curtesy of John Major’s Conservative government) there used to be a manager that was trained to take the place of staff shortage (including driving trains) but that manager has retired sometime back.
Are they short staffed? Or is it a driver that’s ill ? Because if not I don’t see why there’s any need for a reduced timetable
Can someone not cover the sick guys shift , or is that too dificult
overtime is voluntary – cannot force someone to come in on their time off – if no one available that is that.
