Red Funnel has announced a range of Isle of Wight ferry travel discounts for members of the Armed Forces.
The offers, which are valid year-round, include savings on vehicle and foot passenger travel and are available for anyone with an MoD 90 card or a valid Defence Discount Service card. Serving members of the Armed Forces, Veterans, Reserve Forces members and MoD civil servants are all eligible to sign up to the Defence Discount Service, as are spouses/partners of serving personnel.
The discounts are weighted to offer enhanced savings when travelling from the Isle of Wight to the mainland, meaning eligible Island residents will enjoy the best military rates. The full list of offers available is:
- 20% off vehicle travel from East Cowes to Southampton
- 20% off foot passenger travel from East or West Cowes to Southampton
- 15% off vehicle travel from Southampton to East Cowes, Isle of Wight
- 15% off foot passenger travel from Southampton to East or West Cowes, Isle of Wight
- 10% off food and drink purchases from outlets on-board and at Red Funnel terminals
Discounted vehicle travel can be pre-booked online for Red Funnel’s East Cowes <> Southampton route. The foot passenger discounts are available to purchase in person from Red Funnel ticket offices on the day of travel and are valid on either the vehicle ferry service or the Hi-Speed Red Jet foot passenger service between West Cowes and Southampton.
The 10% food and drink discount is available at the terminals or on-board from any Steam or ReFuel outlet, offering customers a choice of hot food, teas and coffees, soft drinks, sandwiches, pastries, cakes and more.
