The date for the 2023 edition of the Isle of Wight Randonnee has been announced.
Founded by Wayfarer Cycletouring Club back in 1985, next year’s iteration will be held on Sunday 30th April 2023.
As with previous years, the Randonnee follows the Round The Island (RTI) cycle routes in a clockwise direction, with a choice of 100km and 55km rides available.
The event starts at 09:00 and finishes at 18:00.
Registration for the event opens in February with more details to be announced in due course.

Lycra louts. Awful people, and like many others, I hate them for obvious reasons.
This great picture illustrates just what a nuisance these people cause to motorists.
Just goes to show how “green” bicycles are as they hold up streams of cars and force them to drive along in 1st or 2nd gear.
We are looking at one photograph which does show some cars being held up. Now go to Coppins bridge and see the perpetual lines of traffic, often backed up some way… the cause… other cars, many, many of them.. forcing each other to drive in 1st or 2nd gear!
More aggressive entitled MAMILS riding about in slow flocks like they own the place. P**s off and stay away.
BAN IT, just a nuisance and for the pittance they spend better off if they stay away.
Just for the record, the Randonnee donates many thousands of pounds to local charities from donations given freely by participants.
Great photo, really shows, albeit on a small scale the chaos that will be here. Are these the lycra idiots that are sponsored by Shell Oil? I bet they bring the chaos bikes over on the overpriced ferries omn the back of the 4×4’s too. Makes me sick, preaching how green they are, but 9 times out of 10, they are just ignorant beyond belief. Expect them riding the wrong way, riding on pavements and shouting at locals to get out of the way.
30.4.23, a day to enjoy the garden; no point setting out in the car to queue behind a load of cyclists
