Organisers of the Isle of Wight Randonnee have announced a new date for next year’s event following the realisation that the provisional date clashed with Walk the Wight.
As reported by Island Echo last week, The Wayfarers Cycle Touring Club announced that the Randonnee would be taking place on Sunday 10th May 2020 – the same day as the 35th running of Mountbatten’s Walk the Wight.
The organisers had hoped to keep the event date in line with the early May Bank Holiday, but it has now been announced that the Randonnee will take place on Sunday 3rd May 2020 instead.
The Isle of Wight Randonnee was established by the Wayfarers Cycle Touring Club in 1985. The free, family friendly event is the largest event of its kind on the South Coast and attracts around 3,000 participants each year.
