With pre-season starting on Thursday, ahead of the 2024/2025 season, Wight Eagles have confirmed that the Ladies’ team have gained promotion to Hampshire Women’s Division 2 Football League. All new and old players are welcomen from the age of 16 yers, as the Ladies’ team work closely with the new academy U18 side for the 2024/25 season. Dan Verstraeten confirms Ellena Boakes will remain as manager of the Ladies, with help from coaches Richie Mumford and Mark Woodhouse. Ellena has said:
“The ladies have worked extremely hard over the last year and have now been given the reward we all deserve. “The club is in a great place with the new structure put in place over the last 6 months. “It’s going to be a very exciting year for all at the club and great to be training alongside the Academy.”
