Panashe Chibwana – a Year 13 pupil at Priory School – has been successfully shortlisted in the OxBright Essay Competition 2023. Panashe wrote a brilliant essay answering the question “How can long-term thinking in the field of Law foster optimism about the future?”. The panel of judges were very impressed with her writing and shortlisted it within a competitive field of over 1,000 entries. Her prize is a free place at an OxBright academic conference. School Principal, David EJJ Lloyd, remarked:
“This is a wonderful achievement, and Panashe is a very talented pupil, keen to study law and work in the legal profession. I have every confidence she will be a great success.”
Emma Soar, Vice Principal, said:
“Panashe has a natural flair for writing, and I am delighted that she has been able to showcase her skills.”
It seems that everyone gets short listed. Oxbright uses the essay writing competition as a tool to attract paying customers onto their courses.
Panashe clearly has a lot of panache with her essay in answering the question ~ How can long-term thinking in the field of Law foster optimism about the future?
I would have simply written ‘because it can’.
