Priory School missed out on a podium place result at yesterday’s Rock Challenge in Southampton, but did scoop a series of awards.
For their ‘Where The Wind Things Are’ performance, the Whippingham-based school took home an Award of Excellence for Concept, as well as an Award of Excellence for Drama, one for Soundtrack and one for Video Performance.
Yesterday marked the first time Priory School had competed in the event.
The Right Worshipful Mayor of Southampton, Councillor Cathie McEwing said last night:
“I’ve had a wonderful evening here at Rock Challenge. The young people have been amazing: the music, the scenes, the discipline, and the costumes, just absolutely fantastic! Well done to all those young people and everyone involved with them.”
