POLICE PROBE SUSPECTED ARSON ATTACK ON CAR IN NEWPORT


Police on the Isle of Wight are investigating a fire which engulfed a local man’s car in Newport last week.

The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service were called to Little London on 10th June when a vehicle fire broke out close to the River Medina.

Firefighters battled to bring the blaze under control before alerting Hampshire Constabulary to the incident.

It is understood that a petrol can was found nearby, sparking an investigation into whether or not the fire was maliciously started.

Police say enquiries are ongoing at this time. Anyone with information relating to this fire are asked to contact Police on 101, quoting 44190198519.

You get a court summons now for a simple speeding offence? What happened to 3 points and a fine? Maybe Im out of touch but seems like a lot of work for a few MPH over the limit
