Police have issued an alert to the Island community warning of recent marine related thefts in the Wootton and Whippingham areas.
2 outboard engines – a Mercury and Seagull – were stolen from a foreshore shed in the Wootton area sometime between 5th-11th May. The shed was padlocked and the padlocked had been removed, presumably cut off.
A 3 metre compass RIB has also been stolen by persons and means unknown from the Whippingham area.
PCSO Stephen Hull is warning Islanders to be vigilant and to report any suspicious activity to Police on 101.
