Police on the Isle of Wight are investigating the theft of fuel in the West Wight on at least 2 occasions.
Towards the end of February a locked metal cabinet containing 50 litres of diesel and 20 litres of petrol was stolen from a temporary enclosure on a road in Freshwater. It is said that unknown persons cut through a metal chain to access the fuel.
At the beginning of March, 2 containers in Totland were broken into with a 10 litre can of diesel stolen.
Officers are also investigating reports that a container was broken into at Yarmouth, with a Clarke Rally 410 battery charger stolen, among other items.
