Following the success of the ‘Inside The Industry’ conference last year, Platform One returns to the Quay Arts later this month to deliver another event.
On Friday 28th April, ‘Inside The Industry: The Live Music Conference’ will present five guests alongside host and Music Industry Liaison Andy Booth, to discuss roles, responsibilities and the state of the live music sector. Platform One students will have free access to this conference as part of their studies during a daytime event, while there will be an evening version for the wider community.
Guests include Louise McGovern (Booking Agent for Midnight Mango), Luke Joynes (Agent & Manager at Coalition Presents), Callum Burke (Artist Booker for Superstruct Entertainment), Natalie Rudland (Booking Manager for Superstruct Entertainment) and Ulysses Wells (Artist) who will also be performing.
Music Industry Liaison Andy Booth said:
“Whether you want to work in live music, or simply understand more about it, this conference will be a great opportunity to gain more knowledge and understanding”. Since Covid the live music sector has been slowly recovering from one of the most challenging and difficult periods the industry has seen. “All of our guests are involved directly with live music and it will be great to hear how they have adapted and developed their roles over the past few years”.
The evening will begin at 19:00 and feature two halves of discussion with the panel and include a break for refreshments. There will also be a networking event in the café following the conclusion of the main conference.
Tickets to the event cost £5 and can be claimed by scanning the QR code in the advert or visiting www.ticketsource.co.uk/platformoneiow.
